Coastal Resources

Protecting the State’s Coastal Resources
New York State is blessed with a vast array of unique freshwater and marine coastal ecosystems which provide important habitat for over 200 different bird species, as well as numerous fish and other wildlife species. They are also critical economic and recreational assets for millions of state residents. Ensuring the long term protection, conservation, and sustainable management of these significant coastal resources for future generations is of high importance for Audubon New York.
