Even though the Great Lakes are seemingly abundant, they are actually a very fragile ecosystem, and susceptible to many different threats. This vital resource is in danger of being destroyed by the loss of fish and wildlife habitat, toxic pollution, invasive species introductions, and increasing sewer overflows.

Audubon New York is committed to restoring this amazing resource by implementing the Great Lakes Regional Collaboration Strategy. This comprehensive plan provides the necessary direction to address the major threats to the Lakes, and restore the health of this irreplaceable wonder.
