Local wildlife photographers have spent months getting shots along the Onondaga Lake shoreline, and now you'll be able to see some of their images of the migratory birds taking to the skies in the area.

The exhibit is called “Onondaga Lake: An Important Stop for Birds on an Impressive Journey” and being hosted by the Onondaga Lake Conservation Corps in partnership with Audubon New York and Honeywell.

More than 85 unique bird species have been identified in and around Onondaga Lake. The exhibit is open to the public and will take place at Honeywell’s Onondaga Lake Visitors Center, along the southwest lakeshore in Geddes.

A special event is planned for Saturday, April 2, from 9am to 4pm and Sunday, April 3, from 1pm to 4pm.  Both days, visitors will meet the photographers who captured the images and have an opportunity to look for birds in their natural habitat with experts from Montezuma Audubon Center and Onondaga Audubon Society.
