In case you were wondering whether you can both support the conservation of avian life and enjoy some chicken on the menu, rest assured that you can indeed. On June 2nd, New York's Audubon Society hosted its Young Members Benefit at the chic Marlborough Gallery, where host committee chair Arielle Patrick joked about the aforementioned irony, but alas urged attendees to protect local wildlife. Amid whimsical new works by artist Xu Lei, guests sipped Archer Roose wine, Bloom gin, and Heineken to the acoustic tunes of live performer Amos Rose, who provided the perfect pitch of chill to match the young, philanthropic crowd. A silent auction of art and luxury gifts - including some La Mer that this author had her eye on - raised funds to support the Audubon Society. The evening's action continued downtown with a late-night after-party at hot spot Happy Ending.
