Kids Night Out - Animals of the Night

Hey kids leave your parents at home for the evening and come to TR Sanctuary for Kids Night Out!
If you like nature games, night time animals, and walks in the dark (don’t worry it’s not scary!) you will have a blast as we explore and play together. Learn all about animals of the night during this great night out! Pizza and drinks will be provided as well.

Bird Banding Demonstration & Breakfast
(weather permitting) 8 am - 10:30 am
Capturing and banding birds gives us an up-close look at these amazing creatures! Learn how the birds are captured with mist nets, and why banding is important in understanding the migration, health, and ecology of birds. ¨ $10 per person

Roadshow of 2017’s Best Avian Photography Coming to Oyster Bay, NY
Visit the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center at 134 Cove Road Oyster Bay, NY 11771 between 2/15/18 and 3/5/18 to walk among the winning bird photographs from this year’s Audubon Photography Awards and learn more about your local birdlife. The exhibit will be open to the public Monday – Friday 9 am – 4 pm and Saturday, February 17, 2018 and Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 11 am – 3 pm.
