Breakwater Beach is located on the western side of Mattituck Inlet, at the end of Breakwater Road in Mattituck, NY. Here is a link to the location on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/efn5tGW8WAvRrDVn9. Parking is free for volunteers, including non-residents, during this event.

Please help Audubon New York and Group for the East End clean up Breakwater Beach on Sunday, August 25th at 10 AM – 12 PM.  Gloves, trash bags, and light refreshments will be provided and the first 50 volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. Please bring your own reusable water bottle and wear sun protection. Don’t miss out on this chance to get outside and make a difference for coastal birds!

Breakwater Beach is located on the shore of the Long Island Sound and is a popular nesting site for shorebirds like the Piping Plover. This event is made possible with support from The Robins Island Foundation.
