Birds need our help as a changing climate causes habitats to shift and shrink. At this Audubon Ambassadors training, you’ll join a community working together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help support more resilient bird populations -- and you'll learn everything you need to know to become a strong voice for birds. You don’t need to be an expert on birds to join; everyone is welcome!
Audubon Ambassadors will learn:
-How a changing climate is affecting birds in New York.
-How to share your passion for birds and convey the need to protect them and their habitats now and into the future -- through conversations between you and your friends, family, colleagues, community, and even elected officials.
-How to help birds now in your yard, your neighborhood, your community -- through planting for birds, putting up nest boxes, and working with community officials.
There will be plenty of time to socialize and make new friends. Everyone interested in volunteering a few hours a month as an Audubon Ambassador is welcome!
Coffee and tea will be provided.
