How to get there.

Let's settle the most important things first. How to get there. Jamestown is easily accessible by train, plane, or car.

If you are planning to take a plane or train, your host chapters are coordinating a shuttle schedule from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport and Buffalo-Depew Amtrak station to area hotels. (There will be a small fee for the shuttles.) Please see below for the shuttle schedule.  If you would like to take advantage of the shuttle, please contact Ruth Lundin to confirm your seat and please plan to arrive at the airport or train station at one of the listed shuttle times.

Thursday, October 16, 2014

  • Guests arriving on Thursday will be shuttled from the airport and train station to the following hotels near the airport: Hilton Garden Inn, Fairfied Inn, Days Hotel, Courtyard Marriott, and Holiday Inn.
  • Shuttle times: 3 p.m.; 6 p.m.; 9 p.m.

Friday, October 17, 2014

  • Guests arriving on Friday will be shuttled from the airport and train station to the conference site at Chautauqua Suites in Mayville only
  • Shuttle times: 3 p.m.; 6 p.m.; 9 p.m.

Sunday, October 19, 2014

  • Guests departing on Sunday will be shuttled from Chautauqua Suites to coincide with trains departing at 3:45 p.m.

Monday, October 20, 2014

  • Guests departing on Monday will be shuttled from Chautauqua Suites to coincide with trains departing at 9:08 a.m. and 1:19 p.m. 

If there is sufficient need for other shuttles, other times can be arranged. Please contact Ruth Lundin for additional arrangements.

Travel time from Buffalo/Niagara International Airport or Buffalo-Depew Amtrak station to Chautauqua Suites in Mayville is approximately 1.5 hours.

What to do.
While you're at the council meeting, you may want to take advantage of all the region has to offer and visit some of the wonderful cultural, historical and natural areas of significance.  See below for some quick links to visitor centers, state parks, audubon societies, chambers of commerce and other local resources to help you plan your trip.
