Erin talks all about birds and how the environment impacts their survival through air, water, food, chemicals and pesticides in the atmosphere. Erin, a former commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation with a five-year tenure in that post, discusses the current governor with her boss the previous governor. Our discussion stretches from the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge in Central New York to Thacher Park, Five Rivers in Delmar and Peebles Island to the shores of Long Island as wonderful places to watch birds, better known as birding. We also discuss the Atlantic Flyway which extends from South America to Maine and how climate change impacts the migration of birds along this path.
