Volunteer Opportunities
For The Birds! Environmental Education Program has taught hundreds of children in New York City's inner city schools about birds, wildlife, and their habitats. Volunteers are needed to assist with one day field trips for elementary school students to local parks. Expert birding skills are not necessary--people who enjoy working with children, having fun, and want to share their love of nature with urban kids are welcome.
