Audubon New York invites you to a workshop at the Beaverkill Valley Inn on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. to noon to discuss forest management practices and learn about new and dedicated funding available to private forest owners for forest stewardship planning and for implementing practices that restore degraded forests, reduce sedimentation and runoff, and enhance wildlife habitat. Part of a multi-state effort to improve forest health, water quality, and wildlife habitat in the Delaware River Basin, the Delaware River Watershed Working Lands Conservation Partnership includes forested properties within portions of Sullivan, Delaware, Ulster, and Orange Counties in New York State.

Audubon New York is partnering with the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Catskill Forest Association, and others to work with private forest owners in this region. Details on the workshop are below. We look forward to seeing you, and we encourage you to bring children and grandchildren to share in the youth activities that will be offered at the same time.

Kindly register by September 28th by contacting Suzanne Treyger at streyger@audubon.org or (607) 254-2122.
