The Montezuma Audubon Center's Home School Nature Series will next meet Thursday and Friday, Jan. 15 and 16.

Participants in Winter Adaptations will explore the winter wonderland and find out how animals are surviving the season. Children will see how animals use snow as an insulator, camouflage and hunting ground.

The program takes place from 10 a.m. to noon each day at the center, 2295 Route 89, Savannah.

The program is $8 per student without snowshoe rental, and $10 with rental. Students should also dress for the outdoors: Hats, gloves, scarves, jackets and snow pants are strongly recommended.
