Audubon New York is thrilled to share the news that the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act was approved by voters on November 8, 2022. We were especially glad to see that the ballot measure received the support of a large majority of voters – reaffirming that New Yorkers are strongly invested in protecting our environment.

Passage of this $4.2 billion measure will pay for projects that protect clean drinking water, tackle climate change and conserve natural resources while creating jobs and delivering environmental justice across New York State.

Audubon was tremendously proud to participate in the Vote Yes for Clean Water & Jobs coalition, a diverse and engaged partnership of over three hundred environmental organizations, unions and business groups that propelled this measure to success.

Now we start the important work of implementation. We are ready to get to work with our partners in the Hochul administration to implement this important proposal and to ensure that the Bond Act conserves and restores the places birds and people need to thrive. Thank you for your action and your support, on behalf of our birds.
