SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - Congressman Chris Gibson will be honored by the Audubon Council of New York State.

The Hudson Valley Republican will receive the annual William B. Hoyt Environmental Excellence Award on Saturday in Saratoga Springs. The conservation group says they are honoring Gibson at their spring meeting for his dedication to protecting New York's environment.

The Audubon Council cited Gibson's support for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the Forest Legacy Program, the Long Island Sound and Great Lakes restorations and for farm conservation programs.
