A behind-the-scenes look at Audubon New York's photography exhibit “Wildlife Returning: Images of a Recovering Onondaga Lake”
Audubon New York, in partnership with the Onondaga Lake Conservation Corps, held "Images of a Recovering Onondaga Lake" April 25-26, 2015 at the Onondaga Lake Visitors Center. The exhibit featured colorful songbirds, eagles, waterfowl, and other wildlife that show why Onondaga Lake achieved designation as an Important Bird Area.
Visitors met the photographers who captured the images and had an opportunity to look for birds in their natural habitat with experts from Montezuma Audubon Center and Onondaga Audubon Society.
The Onondaga Lake Conservation Corps is an expanding organization of community volunteers who are contributing to restoration projects that are creating or improving wildlife habitat in the Onondaga Lake watershed. Founding members include Audubon New York, Montezuma Audubon Center, Onondaga Audubon Society, O’Brien & Gere, Parsons, and Honeywell.
